please respond to this post with your address/phones/email/blood type/ssn/credit card/favorite backstreet boy (comments will be screened) (this will be the last time i ask i promise)

so this post isn't completly worthless, let me introduce you to tay zonday:

i'll be doing a write up on both how i manage my contacts with plaxo and how i use twitter lateron.

sometimes i am not so good waking up in the morning and coming to work.

is this something that the webternet could solve? this was something that i was wondering at 3 in the morning when i got up and did some googling, i found a couple of sites..

here are the ones i found for less than $5 a month:

http://snoozester.com/

snoozester offers a variety of delivery and repetition options for your wake up calls. when you select the secureawake feature, snoozester will attempt to call you every 3 minutes for 20 minutes until you answer the call and indicate that you are awake. costs about $4/month

http://rminder.com/

not so much a wake-up call service but a reminder service, will text or call you with any reminder you want. syncronizes with most online calenders. cost about $5/month

http://telepixie.com/

looks awful and has the least amount of features but is free, does wakeup calls and other services (joke of the day, etc)

http://morningmonkeys.com/

seems to be geared toward students mostly (or at least somebody with a sense of humor) seems to be very similar to the other services, even with price coming in at about $5/month. also features snooze.

http://iping.com/

iping seems to be the most versatile of the services, separating itself into four virtual characters, “mr.wakeup” will give you wakeup calls. the unique part of this service is you can choose what to wake up to, they offer the standards like weather/horoscopes to the strange.. waking up to tom green? they offer appointment reminders though “ms.reminder”, you can contact a bunch of people with “mr.notify” and most interestingly to me you can schedule medication reminders with “dr.dose” - which i felt was very innovative.

so far personally, snoozester seems to be the best with the secureawake feature, i’ll give telepixie a shot though as it’s free. i can’t help but feel like i’m missing something though. did i miss anything? there has to be other services out there that offer some sort of better call-me-and-wake-me-up solution, right?

with companies like google and free411 paving the way there has to be either something out there currently or on the horizon.

this was good enough to become my new myspace video.

things have been going good lately.. i’ve been considering switching over to gmail (which is a huge deal considering i’ve been with fastmail since the 90s) but i HATE the conversation feature they have in which they lump their messages together. i don’t understand why they can’t have a filter to turn that off. it makes livejournal comments completely unmanageable, among other things.

fastmail wins overall, their imap access is superb. i just wish their interface was better, or there wasn’t an imap client out there that wasn’t terrible.

if you know me very well you know that if there’s one thing i want to do before i die, it’s visit london. the sites, the sounds, everything. well it seems like google maps has a pretty interesting route planned for me.

at first glance it seems like a normal google route, until right about here

anybody wanna try it with me? we’ll have to make sure not to miss the slight right at E05! (whatever that is?) — the real question is; you think we could sue them after nearly drowning somewhere just outside of massachusetts?

it’s okay google, i like ask maps better than you anyways. although i have fallen in love with your new startpage themes and your fantastic reader! mmmm.

edit; man, england has cooler names for streets than we do!
